Moving to Netherlands
A visa is not required for an EU national moving to the Netherlands.
Whereas some persons moving to the country may need to take an MVV which is a temporary residence permit if they intend staying there for more than three months, EU citizens moving to the Netherlands do not require the same; however they have to register with the IND.
As a general rule, if you are family member of an EU/EEA national moving to the Netherlands you do not need a visa for the Netherlands.
However, before moving to the Netherlands you need to confirm this position as this depends upon certain factors such as the type of your residence permit, the country of residence of the EU/EEA national etc.
In case the family member moving to Netherlands is a holder of a 'Residence Card of a Family Member of an EEA National', he/she does not need a visa when (a) he is accompanied by the EEA national or (b) he is joining the EEA national (other than Dutch) who is moving to the Netherlands or who is already residing there.
When you are moving to the Netherlands, you should be aware of the proviso which states that the residence permit must be endorsed in a valid passport or travel document. You may also need to show documents in support of (a) the relationship and (b) your having the right of free movement of the EEA national (e.g. a registration certificate).
This waiver is for those moving to the Netherlands directly and not through another country.
A visa is needed if you are moving to the Netherlands without being accompanied by the EEA national or when not moving to the Netherlands to join the EEA national.
A visa will be required when you are moving to the Netherlands if you are a family member of an EU/EEA national and holding a different type of residence permit travelling with the EU/EEA national to the Netherlands.

Even though, an EU citizen moving to the Netherlands does not also require a residence permit to work in the country, he would find that a residence permit is useful in many situations including securing employment and opening a bank account.
Another point you would take care of when moving to the Netherlands for work relates to what is known as a BSN- number/SoFi-number. This is Citizen Service Number which you should have to endure certain benefits.
